Ok. So, the last month has been a great one! I really forgot how beautiful BC is and why I love living here. I stayed at Kamloops Lake on the way home from Edmonton with my Mom, went hiking in Westbank and spent some time at the beach....so far! I still have 2 more weeks here. I can't believe it's gone so fast!

Random Adventures in Edmonton!

Contrary to popular opinion, there are things to do in Edmonton. But these often consist of winter sport options, so when you are sick of tobagganing, skating etc. you have to use your imagination to have some fun! So here is a sneak peek at my adventures during the last 4 months (snow-filled and otherwise!). Some of us snowmobile...

My 'land family'

Yes, the title does have an explanation...it's a bit of a play on words. People always talk about their landlords, but since the people living upstairs really consist of Mark, Diane and their 3 kids, (who have essentially adopted me) so they really are a 'land family' rather than just landlords. So every so often I will introduce you to one of them. Today's family member is Emily! She is very active and loves track. One night she wanted to practice for an upcoming meet and decided to time herself running 20 laps up and down 2 flights of stairs!!! It tires me out just thinking about it. So here's a video of her best race yet. Her team got first. (You will also find she has a very enthusiastic mother :) (Well, until I can't figure out how to attach the video, so until then, you can wait with anticipation).

Spring Cleaning!

You are probably wondering if you are at the right place. Yes, this is still Becky's blog!! I decided it was time for some changes, so it now has a nice 'springy' look and I've added some links for you to be further tempted to procrastination. Take a look!

Banff

Tiffany, Joo Young and myself all had our birthdays in January, so 5 of us decided to take a weekend trip to Banff. I hadn't been there since high school, so I was pretty excited to go! So Joo Young, Tiffany, Charlene, Corrine and myself set off on Friday for Red Deer, where we stayed the night with Tiff's Mom. The next morning it was blizzarding so bad that when we got on the freeway I didn't even know we had merged! It was a great trip...minus the accident. How do I sum up a complete gong show in a few words...?? Basically I rear-ended a woman going fairly slow, she jumped out of her car, swore at me, called the police, jumped back in her car and ended being hauled off to the hospital in a stretcher. She is now making a large injury claim and 2 grand damage on her vehicle....haha. So, needless to say, I think I am in one of those situations where the insurance company is getting milked. But other than that...Banff was beautiful, our chalet had an awesome view and it was great going to Calgary and seeing old friends again!!

I'm back!

Hey everyone!

After many complaints that there is no recent news or updates on my blog I am back to posting! I was trying to find ways to buy back more time and I just found blogging time consuming, so I made the decision to put it on hold until school was done for the semester...which it now is!!!! Yayyyyyy....!!!! So hopefully now I catch you up with some notes and pics on what's been happening since January. It has mostly comprised of studying, sleeping, eating, studying sleeping, eating etc etc...but in the between times I have taken a few pics which you might enjoy!

My birthday!

I honestly can't believe I'm 24. Somehow, it just seems alot older than 23. I'm entering the realm of the "middle 20 somethings" (as quoted from a friend). Shhh....all those of you who are older. I know it's not old...but somehow it feels as though I need to start being more mature...haha....or not! Anyways, it was very enjoyable. I had dinner with the Richards on the night of my b-day, a hearty singing of Happy Birthday by the girls in the locker room, yummy brunch on saturday with some friends from school and I'm heading to Banff next weekend. When do I do my homework you ask? (Good question!...I need to figure that out myself). So here's some pics from the festivities.
